I’ve never been one to be very confident throughout life especially when it comes to adulting and figuring out life things and shit like that. More recently though, I’ve been forcing myself to get out in the world and do the things that normal adult humans must do. I went grocery shopping for myself the other day and I even go into the bank a lot more frequently whereas before the bank people spooked me a bit. They’re just intimidating ya know? However, I learned that with a few tricks, life isn’t that hard.
Confidence starts from within. However cheezy that may sound, it’s the truth. In order to be confident in yourself you must learn to overcome the social anxieties and fears within yourself first. There are a few things that help me with this and maybe they can help you out too.

Step one with this is to not overthink. I’ve found myself over thinking things over and over again in my head to the point where I wanted to internally combust. It became part of who I was and I didn’t really like that about myself very much. This caused way too much stress in my life and trust me it can ruin relationships too. Try taking deep breaths and thinking about something else before you have to do something important. It does no good to overthink anything trust me.
Step two to internally improving is to play the part. If you play the part of someone who is confident then your overall charisma will in turn become more confident. Science. This is just a stupid way to say fake it till you make it. But trust me I do this all of the time and most of the time for me at least this works with minor things.
Other than feeling internally confident, I’ve also struggled with feeling externally confident as do most people in America…and probably all over the world. Many people struggle with the way they look and don’t feel confident in their own skin… and honestly its very sad to see our society grow with so much self hatred and hatred for others. There are a few tips that I’ve learned to help with feeling externally confident.

Tip one is to eat healthier. Eating healthier isn’t only good for your internal health but it is excellent for your external health as well. It has helped to make my skin glow and helped me cut down on a little bit of body fat at the same time. Eating healthier can help to reduce acne and other issues with your skin and can help you to lose weight in the process when youre eating the right foods.
Some foods I like to eat for breakfast are mainly fruits such as bananas and apples, sometimes some kiwi and banana with a cup of yogurt. Granola or whole grain cereals are a good option if you don’t like to keep fruit in the house. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day so be sure to make it a good one no matter what you eat. Smoothie bowls with the right ingredients are a good option for any meal of the day.
Tip two is to get at least 30 minutes of exercise daily. for many people, exercise helps to lessen depression and improve confidence levels. Some of the happiest years of my life were when I was in sports and constantly eating right and exercising. Now I exercise when I can with my work schedule but it still makes me feel good afterwards so keep up the exercise because you will see a difference in body and mind!!

One way I like to work out nowadays is by punching a punching bag every other day and doing yoga and some squats while I’m at it. It’s a good workout for the whole body, so if you have a punching bag or if you can get one for cheap then I highly recommend. (the one I have was only $50)
So yeah those were some of my tips on how to become more confident in yourself both mentally and physically. I hope I helped someone out with this because I had fun writing it! Love you all! Peace 🙂
